02.02.22. Birdlog.

A great visit to the Weaver Bend after work where I was entertained by three Short-eared Owl followed by a fine Barn Owl quartering the banks alongside the Lum. If you’re interested (without being accused of going off piste) in photographing these superb owls just stand on the banks overlooking the Lum by the River Weaver at the Weaver Bend.

A small skien of Pink-footed Goose flew in from inland.

  1. Hi,

I live in Warrington and have been desperate to photograph short eared owls for some time now. I went to frodsham last weekend after finding your blog but had no joy, and I didn’t really have a clue on where to go. I parked on the bridge on brook furlong and walked for around 15 minutes but couldn’t see any wildlife. Would you be able to recommend where to park and walk to to best see any wildlife? My email address is SophieLuby1993@hotmail.com, appreciate any help you can give me.
