A walk out to Ince and Frodsham Marsh was well worthy for the birds seen en route. A Common Kingfisher flashed across the path by the GrowHow works followed by a Great Spotted Woodpecker flying overhead to a belt of trees.
The fields nearby held 13 Mute and 23 Whooper Swan of which two were juvenile birds. A huge number of Canada,Pink-footed Goose and 10 Barnacle Goose. A couple of Great Egret were knocking about with smaller numbers of Little Egret also noted. A group of 5 Common Chiffchaff found a sunny spot to feed at.
