I spent the last hour of light around Marsh Farm and the Weaver Bend. The first lambs of the year were in the fields near to the farm. A pair of Stonechat were on the fence along Alder Lane and a single Cattle Egret were with the new calves then flew towards the farm to join the other two Cattle Egret there. There were Fieldfare and Common Starling were busy feeding in the fields and were flushed by a Marsh Harrier which made its way towards No.6 tank to roost for the night. A mass of Northern Lapwing and other plovers were high up over No.3 spooked by a unseen predator.
On the River Weaver were Tufted Duck, Eurasian Teal, Mallard, Common Pochard, Common Shelduck, Common Goldeneye and Gadwall were all present along with 21 Mute Swan and numerous Eurasian Coot.

I was driving westbound on the M56 after work and the herd of 20 something Whooper Swan were still residing in thier favourite fields on Lordship Marsh per WSM.
