The Red-necked Grebe (not pictured) turned up from the direction of the Weaver Bend (for a change) after a 30 minute wait. It goes to show, out of sight out of mind.
There were 50 Swift feeding over the River Weaver but generally the period between Summer & Autumn can be a time to pause, relax and look for other things that fly, crawl, flower and bite.
Whatever the time of year No.6 tank always seems to have something to hold a birders attention so, 70 Tufted Duck, 4 Common Pochard and a Common Teal (male) perhaps just about cut the mustered on this occasion?
