23.03.14. Hercules over the blue-topped chimney. Bill Morton

A Hercules plane flies over a Peregrine sat on top of the blue-topped chimney at Weston Point.

The first Wheatear of the year was on No.1 tank yesterday (FD).

Todays North-Westerly wind wasn’t bringing in any new migrants to the marsh. A couple of Chiffchaff along Moorditch Lane was the best that could be mustered and were probably wintering birds. No.6 tank held 28 Common Teal, 16 Shoveler and 40 Common Shelduck. 8 Tufted Duck found shelter in the Splashing Pool.

23.03.14. Male Brambling, Delamere Forest. Bill Morton
