7 Mute and 2 Whooper Swan in fields adjacent Lordship Lane, Lordship Marsh. Along the banks of No.4 a Great Spotted Woodpecker was spotted.

High tide on No.6 and 15,000 Dunlin, 1000 Golden Plover, c140 Grey Plover, 2 Ringed Plover, c100 Knot, 40 Black tailed Godwit, 600 Curlew and in excess of 3,000 Lapwing.

A single Great White Egret was present before the tide but was absent at high tide. 5 Little Egret, 2 adult Bewick’s Swan, 19 Whooper Swan (including juvenile), 25 Mute Swan, 12 Pink-footed Goose, 1000 Canada Goose and 3 hybrid Canada x Greylag Goose made for a cracking watch here.
Addionally, Frodsham Score also had 2 Bar-tailed Godwit, 100 Black-tailed Godwit, 200 Redshank, 150 Oystercatcher, 10,000 Dunlin (flew off inland on the rising tide), c400 Curlew, a female Merlin, 100 Skylark (small groups leaving the score on the tide to find shelter on No. 4 tank), 500 Starling, Stonechat and a Chiffchaff calling from No. 4 tank.

No. 6 tank (after high tide): 128 Tufted Duck, 26 Pochard, 28 Shoveler, 7 Wigeon, 80 Mallard, 60 Common Shelduck, 250 Common Teal and the wader roost still present.
