A Cuckoo was calling from Godscroft Lane at 06.30 and Paul managed this excellent mirror image of a Redshank on No 6 tank..

A circuit of  No6 tank this afternoon and saw:

2 Wheatear on Owl Box field, 2 Buzzard (one very battered looking bird) over No 4 tank, 2 Whitethroat near the Splashing pool. A Stoat running along Lordship lane, a  noticeable increase in butterflies (the one attached taken just off the track by No 4 tank). Singing Skylark climbing high above No 6 tank.

A brief evening visit resulted in 2 Wheatear on No 3 tank, 6 Raven and 30 Dunlin on Frodsham Score.

  1. hi bill,saw hundreds of black headed gulls nesting in delamere forest on the large lake,wondered how many years they have been there!
