11.04.13. Mediterranean Gull (2nd summer), No 6 tank, Frodsham Marsh. Bill Morton

147 Common Teal, 21 Tufted Duck, 6 Shoveler and 12 Common Shelduck (and an additional 25 feeding in ploughed field east of the tank) on No 6 tank. A 1st summer Mediterranean Gull was present for an hour or so with the Black-headed Gulls this evening which was also present there.

34 ‘summer’ Golden Plover on No 3 tank and Ringed Plover calling nearby.

A curious stand off between a meek and mild lamb and a brutish Raven.

A flock of 27 Raven lifted off the edges of No 3 and No 2 tanks flying south-east over Frodsham Hill at dusk. A further 12 birds remained for the period I was there.
