28.03.13. 9.6 m tide on Frodsham Score, Frodsham Marsh. Bill Morton.

High tide on Frodsham Score saw 51 Pink-footed Goose with c 350 Canada Goose. c 400 Wigeon, 300 Common Teal, 48 Common Shelduck and a couple of Gadwall. On the wader front 21 Grey Plover, 350 Dunlin, 7 Oystercatcher, 200 Curlew and 3 Redshank were a little under par.

Holpool Gutter and fields west of No 4 tank: 2 Little Egret and an unspecified number of Black-tailed Godwit.

28.03.13. Buzzard pellet, No 4 tank, Frodsham Marsh. Bill Morton.

No 6 tank: 350 Common Teal, 20 Wigeon, 10 Cormorant, Ruff and 3 Avocet.

I found quite a few of these Buzzard pellets ( opposite image) below the mast on No 4 tank.

Also present on and over No 6 tank and No 4 tank was a male Hen Harrier and male Marsh Harrier.

32 Tufted Duck and 2 Gadwall on the Pumping Station Pool.

28.03.13. Chiffchaff, No 6 tank, Frodsham Marsh. Stuart Maddocks.

5 different Chiffchaff on No 6 tank and an immature Stonechat on No 4 tank. Also c 100 Meadow pipit in flooded meadow field west of Marsh Lane (marsh side) motorway bridge.
