Frodsham Score: 13 Oystercatcher, One Grey Plover, 300 Golden Plover, 5,000 Dunlin, 200 Curlew, single Great White and 5 Little Egret, 200 Common Shelduck, 46 Pink-footed Goose, 700 Canada Goose with two of mixed parentage The ever popular Raven numbered 21 birds and Carrion Crow were also numerous with a flock of 43 birds.

The Peregrine was chilling out (literally) on the blue-topped chimney at Weston Point.

A male Marsh Harrier was quartering the reedbeds of No 4 tank and a Sparrowhawk was doing likewise. Nearby on No 6 tank the 1st winter male (ringtail) Hen Harrier was again present hunting with a male Sparrowhawk in tow.

No 6 tank: Also had 34 Shoveler, 24 Pintail, 15 Wigeon, 12 Common Pochard, 76 Tufted Duck, 2 Gadwall, 56 Mallard and 120 Common Teal.

Canal Pools: 3 Little Grebe and 6 Gadwall.

2 Brambling along Lordship Lane and 2 Barnacle Goose¬†with Canada’s on No 1 tank.
