Every now and then I will include posts like the one below to give a plug to someone or something. On this occasion I would like to give Jack Ashton-Booth a mention. Jack is one of those enthusiastic young artists who carry with them a gift to capture the wildlife wonders and magic of their time. The measure of a wildlife artist is not always how realistic they can draw or paint but the ideas they create. I think Jack has got those qualities and hopefully you can share is work. Jack is currently finishing off illustrations for Kate Humble’s beginners bird guide and will be holding his first exhibition at Spurn this Spring. You can find out more about is work at http://dunbirdin.blogspot.co.uk/. Good luck with the publication, matey.
Being surrounded by art throughout a young age whilst living with my Dad and Brothers. I was always drawing and once I realised the best way to really absorb birds and wildlife around me was by putting pen to paper was for me the turning point, where I began to look at nature rather than just seeing it.
