18.02.13. Birdlog
I managed an hours watch over No 6 tank after work. The count noted a female Merlin harassing the 500 strong Golden Plover flock attempting to roost there. 24 Wigeon, 57 Mallard, 54 Tufted Duck, 16 Common Pochard and 150 Common Teal.
No 5 tank held 12 Raven, 2 Kestrel and 6 Common Buzzard.
The highlight for me was meeting a Kelsal birder who said that he read the Frodsham Marsh Birdlog more than the Liverpool FC Blog. For a lifelong birder and a United fan that was almost as good as finding a Hawfinch here and that would be good!
