A bit bleak on the top banks of No 6 tank with, strong winds, sunshine, showers and snow within a matter of minutes!

05.02.13. No 5 tank and the blue-topped chimney at Weston Point. Bill Morton.Bird wise No 5 tank held feeding Lapwing (700) and Golden Plover (844). All appeared settled away from the usual weekend disturbance.

Nearby on No 6 tank: 30 Common Shelduck, 140 Common Teal, 120 Mallard, 30 Pochard, 24 Tufted Duck and 2 Scaup (female and 1st winter).

Ravens continue to be a feature with c10 birds present at No 5, Marsh Farm and Frodsham Score.

On the way back from the marsh I popped in to see the Waxwings along Picow Farm Road and 30 birds dropped in and dropped out again. The birds were present for just a couple of minutes before departing.
