Record shot of ‘Pec’ at Hale by WSM.

Away from Frodsham Marsh for a change and with Sparky we called in to Carr Lane, Hale at 5.40 pm looking for the Pectoral Sandpiper. The wader was disturbed from the busy road side and landed on the flooded field by a small island. We watched it feeding in the company of a couple of Ruff, Snipe and a Black-tailed Godwit giving reasonably good views. A Lapwing crucified on the wire fence is I presume a mis-judged fence hop?

Observers: JS, WSM
