250 Dunlin, Knot, small flock of Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Whimbrel, Snipe, Common and Green Sandpiper on No 6 tank. A male Marsh Harrier was quartering No 6 tank flipped over the banks and continued hunting over No’s 3 and 5 tanks.
A male Bullfinch was in willow thicket by the approach road to No 6 tank.
Walking back to Marsh Lane from No 6 tank I curiously found an Anglers keep net full of dead medium-sized Eels. Presumably discarded from the hauled out recently dredged out dyke at the junction there this evening?
