18.07.12. Birdlog.
Highlight was an adult Yellow-legged Gull at the pre-roost on No 6 tank. A 1st summer Mediterranean Gull with 700 Black-headed and an assortment of Common and Lesser-Black backed Gulls.

5 Whimbrel dropped in briefly and 400 Curlew gathered together to roost on the tank. 50 Dunlin joined the post breeding flocks of Lapwings. Small numbers of Black-tailed Godwits had an ‘after the party feel’ about them.

An adult and juvenile Whinchat on No 5 tank beggars the question how local are these birds?
